University of Sannio

The University of Sannio is organized in 4 Faculties, Engineering, Economics, Law and Natural Sciences, providing 12 BSc, 12 MSc. and 5 Ph.D. courses to about 8000 enrolled students. Within the Dept of Engineering, the research group on Signal Processing and Measurement Information has a long history of applied research and technology transfer as well as of collaboration and educational exchanges with foreign countries. These activities have been mainly financed by

  • the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research on the National Operating Programme 2000-2006 (2 infrastructure projects) and the Internationalization Programme (2 teacher exchange projects with Croatia and Slovakia);
  • the EU on the Leonardo LLP (2 knowledge transfer projects);
  • the Italian Ministry of Economy (1 project on innovation technology transfer in the measurement field). The achieved results have been published on several international journals.

 

 

"Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi

The "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi (TUIASI) is the oldest higher education institution in Romania in electrical engineering field. TUIASI has 11 faculties covering a large area of engineering domains: civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, materials, computer science, automation, textile, environment protection, industrial electronics, power engineering, providing higher education in BSc., MSc., and Ph.D. study programs. Over 15.000 students, among which almost 470 Ph.D. students, are at TUIASI. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering comprises 4 departments: Electrical Measurements, Power Systems, Automation, Fundamentals of Electrotechnics and Electrical Machines. In the last 5 years, the Faculty attracted funds of more than 5 million Euros from research projects. TUIASI is a reference institution in its region for the Romanian and foreign companies operating there. TUIASI operates technological transfer between them and its research laboratories.


 


Technical University of Košice

The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) is a public university providing higher education in BSc., MSc., and Ph.D. study programs. Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics is the biggest faculty of the TUKE and consists of departments that perform education and research in the field of computer science, electronics, telecommunications, power electronics, measurement, etc. The faculty offers experts in all aspect related to the aim of the project, especially measurement science and instrumentation, software, computer and communication engineering, etc. The research in the field of communication technology, software and computer science is concentrated in the centre of excellence that was established with support of EU within ERD fund. At the Department of Electronics and Multimedia Telecommunications the national research project focused on creating Internet access educational laboratory (Weblab) has been successfully solved since 2009.


 

Instituto Superior Técnico

Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) is a Higher Education Institution, the largest and most reputed school of Engineering, Science and Technology in Portugal. Since its creation in 1911, IST’s mission is to contribute to the development of society by providing top quality higher education in the areas of Engineering, Science, Technology and Architecture, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as developing Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activities to allow it to provide teaching inline with the highest international standards. IST consists of 10 departments and is involved in the most prestigious RD&I and technology transfer institutions in Portugal, with remarkable impact internationally in many scientific and technological domains. There are about 10.500 full-year equivalent under and post graduate students, and about 1.500 full time equivalent teaching and non-teaching staff. Internationalization has been defined as a key strategic goal over the past few years.


 


Technical University of Moldova

TUM is the only higher educational institution in Rep. of Moldova which provides engineering training for specialists prior to the national economy. TUM's mission is to provide quality education training to the younger generation by combining training, research and innovation, which will contribute to the building of a sustainable society and economy based on knowledge, and development of student’s creative and critical personality. TUM systematically promotes the provisions of the Bologna process and implemented the three levels of education (BSc., MSc., and Ph.D.), the ECTS system. It has developed an internal quality assurance system and it has already reached a certain level of computerization of the educational process and university management. Some steps have been done to promote the organization of on-line studies. The university library offers a modest amount of electronic services to students and teachers. TUM until now does not offer technology transfer facilities.


 

Moldova State University

Moldova State University (USM) is the oldest and biggest university from Rep. of Moldova with full range of curricula and research areas. USM nowadays comprises 13 faculties and the academic offer consists of 60 specialties of BSc. degree studies, 76 MSc. programmes and 66 specialties of Ph.D. programs. It has a total enrollment of ~16,500 students. Faculty of Physics and Engineering, founded in 1946, has trained over 3.500 specialists working successfully in various fields of national economy, education, research and innovation. Currently, the faculty aims at achieving the highest standards in teaching and research, while promoting quality and efficiency in the implementation of credit transfer system and developing training standards, in particular, in Information Technology, Automation and Informatics, Engineering and Quality Assessment, Renewable Energy etc.. USM until now does not provide technology transfer facilities.


 


State Agrarian University of Moldova

The State Agrarian University of Moldova (SAUM) is the only university in Moldova, which provides training of specialists in higher education in the areas strictly necessary for the sustainable operation of agriculture of the republic, including agronomy, horticulture, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, agricultural engineering, land use, economics, accounting and auditing in agriculture. SAUM mission is to provide quality education through the integration of education in scientific research and innovation, so that the younger generation can help build a society based on knowledge and at the same time creating conditions that students become critical and creative personalities. SAUM continuously promotes the provisions of the Bologna Process and to this end it is implementing the following: the system of education on three levels (BSc., MSc. and Ph.D.), the ECTS, an internal system that ensures quality. SAUM until now does not provide technology transfer facilities.


 


Alecu Russo Balti State University

Alecu Russo Balti State University (USARB) was founded in 1945 and presently has become the center of the University Complex which embraces all levels of education: pre-university, university, post-university. The University Complex includes State University, Retraining Center for school and lyceum teachers, Ion Creanga Lyceum and Pedagogical College. The University Structure is made up of 8 faculties. Participation in International projects allows the University employees to make themselves familiar with the opinions of the people in charge of higher education in the European zone, to share their own experience and to disseminate the acquired positive practice. Simultaneously, increased attention is paid not only to the problems that higher education in this country faces, but also to the strategies of solving them. USARB collaborators are implementing TEMPUS and Erasmus Mundus projects, financially supported by the EU. USARB until now does not provide technology transfer facilities.


 


Moldovan Technology Transfer Network

Moldovan Technology Transfer Network (MTTN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and nonprofit organization. MTTN is acting in according with the law of Rep. of Moldova nr.837-XIII from 17 May 1996 about NGOs activities. The aim of MTTN is to promote innovation and technology transfer in Moldova. MTTN promotes the interaction between main stakeholders and organizations involved in the process of Technology Transfer/ Intellectual Property (TT/IP), by setting up a bridge between research and business leading to the creation of innovative SMEs.


 


Agency for Innovation and Technological Transfer

Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT) was founded on October 29, 2004, in times of great restructuring, in compliance with the Science and Innovation Code of Republic of Moldova, with the main objective to coordinate, stimulate and implement the mechanisms of innovation and TT in Moldova. Therefore, the AITT serves as an intermediary between scientists, on one hand, and public authorities, entrepreneurs on the other hand, their collaboration being implied by the challenges of the modern world and commitments undertaken by Rep. of Moldova towards the international community. In order to enhance the process of adapting to the standards of the EU, an area where innovation is the main driver of socioeconomic development, AITT has the goal to enable the fast implementation of innovations and TT, bringing its contribution to the modernization of the Moldovan economy, socio-economic growth of the country and increase in life quality here.


 


State Agency on Intellectual Property

The State Agency on Intellectual Property of Rep. of Moldova (AGEPI) is the specialized governmental body, empowered to grant protection for intellectual property (IP) objects in Moldova. AGEPI is created in 2004 under the Code on Science and Innovation by merger of the State Agency on the Protection of Industrial Property and the State Agency for Copyright. AGEPI is a legal entity, subordinated to the Government that carries out its activity on the basis of the status approved by Government Decision no.1016 of 13 Sept. 2004, on self-financed and self-governed principles. AGEPI represents the MD in the World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO. AGEPI is responsible for the implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy for the years 2012-2020. AGEPI renders assistance to the R&D community, registers and promote the scientific results, provides IP education programs, including the certificate courses on IP protection and valuation.
